Chee Seng was the first sesame oil manufacturer in Singapore to use machinery for production. Mr Lim painstakingly designed and supervised the installation of all the machines needed in the various stages of production, placing top priority on product aroma and purity. The company has been handed down from generation to generation and is now under the management of Mr Lim’s grandchildren.Over the years, we have grown from strength to strength to become a market leader, winning consumers over with our high quality, cold pressed, unrefined sesame oil that retains the natural goodness and flavour of its source.

The products are packed and sold under three brands: Chee Seng, Double Pagoda (100% pure sesame oil and specialty oil) and Golden Ox (blended sesame oil). The company also has OEM arrangements with partners in other countries. From our manufacturing facilities in Defu Industrial Estate, we make products that are now available around the world in countries such as the US, Canada, the UK, Holland, Austria, Germany, Luxemburg, Belgium, Lebanon, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, India, and Australia.

In 2000, we became the first among sesame oil manufacturers to be awarded the ISO 9002 certificate (by AJA EQS Certification (Singapore) Pte Ltd).
