Gadjah Mada University as a World Class University has a great commitment to help realize the independence of national medical devices, especially those based on research and refer to the needs of the wider community. With long-term planning, Gadjah Mada University has prepared a system and facilities to meet these objectives. One way is to entrust PT Gama Multi Usaha Mandiri as a business unit of Gadjah Mada University to establish a subsidiary, PT Swayasa Prakarsa which focuses on the downstreaming of health research.
PT Swayasa Prakarsa was officially established based on Deed of Establishment Number 09 dated January 12, 2012, and in its development to date has had two business units, namely; Gama Herbal Indonesia, which is engaged in the research and production of herbal medicines and external medicinal fluids, Hepro Gama which is engaged in the production of researched medical devices, and GamaFood which is engaged in the production and distribution of researched food.
