Phu Rieng plantation was the precursor of Dong Phu Rubber JSC, the result of the first colonial exploitation of French colonialists in Vietnam since 1927. This is an area of bazan red soil along with suitable climate and geology for the development of rubber trees which also relates to the Revolutionary tradition, where the first Communist Party cell in the Southeast was born on October 28, 1929. After the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, the implementation of the agreement on cooperation with Soviet Union (former), on May 21, 1981, Dong Phu Rubber Company was established.
After nearly 30 years of construction and growth, from a farm with an area of 3,000 hectares of old rubber trees destroyed by bombs, Dong Phu Rubber Company has developed into an area of over 10,000 hectares rubber with nearly 8,000 hectares in plantation.
