The continuity of Atlas Copco activities in Vietnam dates back to 1993, when Atlas Copco products appeared under Diethelm&Co in first exhibition of construction and mining held in Ho Chi Minh city – VietNam. The Company’s activities in Vietnam expanded considerably in the years of 1995, 1996 and 1997 with some major projects where we supplied construction and mining equipment as well as air compressor. In order to create a solid business base for intensifying co-operations with local partners, and following the local business environment and needs, Atlas Copco and Diethelm Engineering Company founded a 100% foreign-owned company in Vietnam in December 1997. Early in the year of 1998 Atlas Copco – Diethelm (Thailand) Ltd. Established Representative Offices in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city. Then in February 2003 was Atlas Copco Vietnam Company Limited established and is a Company of 100% by Atlas Copco.

Atlas Copco is now the leading company in Vietnam in our business areas, Compressor Technique, Mining & Rock Excavation, Construction Technique and Industrial Tools. This position was intend to strengthen further in the years to come. The aftermarket is a very important part of Atlas Copco operations all over the world in order to keep our customer satisfied. The same is of course valid for Atlas Copco in Vietnam. We have offices and service personnel in Ha Noi, Da Nang and Binh Duong in order to cover the country properly.
