Precursor of CADOVIMEX Aquatic Product Processing and Import-Export Joint Stock Company is Cai Nuoc Seafood Joint-stock Company. In 1985, it was transformed into Cai Doi Vam Seafood Processing Factory. On March 28, 1997, Cai Doi Vam Seafood Processing Factory was transformed into Cai Doi Vam Seafood Import and Export Company (CADOVIMEX) with the capital of 11,471,000,000 VND. According to Decision No. 874 / QD-CTUB dated November 30, 2004 of Ca Mau People’s Committee, the Board of Directors has bravely set up a 100% equitization plan and officially operated under Business Registration Certificate No. 6103000045 dated February 01, 2005 of Department of Planning and Investment of Ca Mau province. On January 05, 2009, CAD shares were officially traded on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.

On May 04, 2012, the company received a decision to cancel the listing of CAD stock on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange because of negative profit after 3 consecutive years. On June 04, 2012, CAD stock officially cancelled the listing on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange. On June 05, 2012, the company received a notice of the Vietnam Securities Depository Center to close the list of registration, depository, compensation and payment to move the transaction floor from the HSX to UPCoM. On June 29, 2012, the company has completed the private placement to raise capital from VND 87,999,270,000 to VND207,999,270,000. On July 18, 2012, Department of Planning and Investment of Ca Mau province isued the 12th amended business registration certificate with a new capital of VND207,999,270,000.
