I.K. PANEL (M) SDN. BHD. is an Oil Palm Trunks (O.P.T) Plywood manufacturer located in Penang, the Northern Peninsular Malaysia. The company was established in 2006. O.P.T Plywood is considered as an environmental friendly product. Oil Palm trees are unlike normal tropical trees; whereby the trunks must be discarded for replantation purposes after 25-30 years of palm oil production. Traditionally, the felled trunks were burnt, causing a lot of carbon dioxide. In view of that, we came out with “rather use than dispose” strategy by taking this biomass product to make plywood.
Having low density as an attribute of oil palm core, O.P.T Plywood is lighter than tropical plywood and thus handling O.P.T Plywood is comparatively easy. Our O.P.T Plywood is chemically treated; it is safe to use as furniture makings, pallets wooden packaging and etc. (Suitable for non- structural construction application). O.P.T Cores can be sold for further production too.
I.K PANEL with its R&D facilities, we produce reliable O.P.T. Plywood to cater for both the local and international market. Our existing export markets include United Kingdom, Middle East and other Asian countries.
