Santomas Vietnam Joint Stock Company, formerly Santomas Vietnam Ltd., was established on 09/01/2002 under Investment license No. 30/GP-KCN-HN issued by Hanoi Industrial Zone Authority. Santomas Vietnam Ltd was 100% foreign-capital held by Santomas SDN BHD (Malaysia). Company’s main activities are manufacturing of precision plastics gear and precision plastic parts for Camera, office automation equipment (printer, fax, copy machine and etc), automotive unit component and other electronic consumer products with legal capital of 1,500,000 USD and total investment capital of 5,000,000 USD. The first factory went into operation on the January 1st 2003 with 15 injection moulds.
The second factory went into operation in 2006 with total number of machines in both factories up to 50 units. In 2007, Santomas Vietnam Ltd Company officially converted into Santomas Vietnam Joint Stock Company with registered captial of VND 64,000,000 equivalent to USD 4,000,000 USD under Investment license No. 012033000082 granted by Hanoi Industrial Zone Authority, first issued on 11/12/2007. From 2008 until now, the Company has continued to expand operation and increase investment in machinery and infrastructure. Currently, Santomas’s total capacity is 500 million parts, 200 moulds per year.
