As steel manufacture company, PT Krakatau Osaka Steel produced steel bar (plain or deform), steel section, channel and flat bar, which total capacity of production is 500,000 tons/year, from steel billet as raw material. Krakatau Osaka Steel is joint venture company between Osaka Steel Co., Ltd (Japan) and PT. Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk, which each share is 80 % and 20 %. Osaka Steel Co., Ltd is a market leader of steel long product manufacturer in Japan and PT. Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk is a large steel company in Indonesia. PT KOS will start commercial operation on January 2017.
